No Power? No Problem
All Regency gas fireplaces, inserts, and stoves are built to operate safely during a power outage, continuing to provide radiant heat to warm your home. While the blower, if your unit has one, will stop functioning without electricity; however, it is not required for the fireplace to run or remain safe.
Regency models come equipped with battery backup systems or ignition packs, allowing you to easily light the fireplace even when the power is out.
Additionally, all direct vent gas fireplaces are sealed systems that use natural air flow—warm air rising—to safely vent emissions outside. No electricity is needed for safe, efficient operation.
How can a Regency fireplace keep you safe during a power outage?
- All Regency gas and wood fireplaces, stoves, and inserts radiate heat without electricity.
- Fireplaces provide an additional, safe light source during power outages
- Regency installs battery-powered receivers and/or ignition packs into all of their gas fireplace products as a backup power supply so you can continue to enjoy instant heat at the touch of a button in the event of a power outage. Some gas fireplaces can ignite without batteries too!
- Regency’s direct vent technology prevents cold air from entering your home and stops warm air from escaping up your chimney, even when your fireplace is not in use. Direct vent technology maintains indoor air quality by using outside air for combustion and venting exhaust air directly outside.
